EXECUTIVE CHEF

Are you a driven and experienced hospitality professional with leadership qualities? Do you have a passion for hospitality and know how to motivate and guide a team? Then we at the Aviary are looking for you!

Your role

As a manager at the Aviary, you are the first point of contact for both guests and staff. You ensure the smooth running of daily operations in our restaurant, from à la carte service to events and the bar. Together with your team, you create a unique experience for our guests and guarantee a streamlined organization behind the scenes.

What will you do?
  • Leading the team, providing clear direction through briefings, and ensuring a positive working atmosphere;
  • Coordinating à la carte service, private events, and the bar;
  • Responsible for the guest experience and quality of service;
  • Overseeing reservations and efficiently scheduling tables and staff;
  • Ensuring smooth execution of opening and closing procedures;
  • Managing inventory and placing orders with various suppliers;
  • Supporting and contributing ideas for improvements in business operations;
  • Handling unexpected situations and quickly adapting to busy periods or changes in weather;
  • Communicating with the kitchen about special requests and allergies;
  • Ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Who are we looking for?
  • You have extensive experience in hospitality, preferably in a leadership role;
  • You are hospitable, communicative, and resilient under pressure;
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and a hands-on mentality;
  • You are skilled at planning and maintaining oversight in a dynamic environment;
  • You are flexible and know how to motivate and lead the team;
  • You have an eye for detail and ensure that everything runs smoothly.

WAITER / WAITRESS (of neutraler: SERVICE STAFF / FRONT OF HOUSE EMPLOYEE) 
  • You enjoy laughing, like making people have a good time, and prefer working in a team.;
  • It is great if you speak English, and if you speak German, that's super great!;
  • You are available at least one day per week and are flexible (including weekends);
  • Experience is a plus, but strong motivation is more important.
BAR MANAGER
  • You are creative, proactive, have a strong sense of responsibility, and a passion for great coffee, fresh juices, and surprising cocktails;
  • You are available full-time and flexible (including weekends);
  • You have proven experience working behind and at the bar and knowledge of cocktail making;
  • You are available full-time and enjoy working a four-day work week. You always have one weekend day off.
BAR STAFF 
  • You are energetic, cheerful, enjoy working hard, and have an affinity with drinks (and not just consuming them);
  • You are available at least one day per week and are flexible (including weekends);
  • Experience is a plus, but not required. With angelic patience, we’ll teach you how to make the best coffees and shake cocktails! 
DISHWASHER
  • You like to roll up your sleeves, are not afraid to get your hands dirty, and get great satisfaction from sparkling clean dishes;
  • You are available at least one day per week and are flexible (including weekends).

🚨 BEERS & TULIPS APRIL 11 🚨

On April 11th, it's that time again: the annual beer festival at Oosterduinse Meer. And this edition is extra special because we're celebrating the 10th edition. Settle down among the tulips, near the terrace of the Volière, and taste specialty beers from 8 breweries. From well-known names like Gebrouwen door Vrouwen and Brouwerij Pronck to local heroes such as Brouwerij de Herenweg and BAAK Bier.
